As a small PR consultancy that works with some fantastic local businesses as well as those further afield, we’re passionate about spreading small business love! We mentioned some of them on our Bristol Bloggers Instagram takeover earlier this week, so we wanted to share and support some of our favourite local small businesses.
Marshfield area
VherbalKitchen
VherbalKitchen is based in Colerne just a few miles away from Carnsight’s home base in Marshfield. This was a lockdown find for Jess. They provide delicious vegan pizzas available weekly. Yummy!
Marshfield Ice Cream
Marshfield Ice Cream offers delicious organic ice cream. You can see the cows grazing in the fields surrounding it – the rustic parlour is usually open at weekends but they’ve been delivering recently. Salted Caramel is Jess’s favourite.
Sweet Apples Teashop
Sweet Apples Teashop is a pretty tea room and family run business. They serve delicious homemade cakes and freshly ground coffee. The food is top quality and the service always delivered with a smile. We would definitely recommend a visit.
The Lord Nelson and The Catherine Wheel
The Lord Nelson and The Catherine Wheel are both fantastic pubs in Marshfield with lovely warm atmospheres and a friendly feel. Great for our work lunches (pre- and post-social distancing of course), we’ve enjoyed delicious meals at both of these pubs many times.
Bath
Magalleria
Magalleria is a wonderful independent magazine shop in Bath. They provide a huge range of titles on every topic you could think of. The staff are always delightful and can help you find exactly what you need. We love browsing the shelves.
Chelsea Road Cafe
Chelsea Road Cafe makes a gorgeous cup of coffee. During lockdown, they delivered amazing roasted coffee beans to your door, and have been providing take out too. If you’re in the Bath area and need a caffeine hit you should definitely stop by.
Mr B’s Emporium Bookshop
Mr B’s Emporium Bookshop is a stunning independent bookshop based on a side street in Bath. It’s so easy to become lost in the labyrinth of bookshelves. There is colour everywhere and the staff always have the perfect recommendation ready.
Toppings Bookshop
Toppings is another beautiful independent in Bath. The floor to ceiling bookshelves with sliding ladders are like something straight out of a movie. They have a wonderful selection of books and host fantastic author signings and events regularly.
Bristol
Spicer and Cole
Spicer and Cole are four independent cafés in the heart of Bristol. You can grab delicious breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake at each of their cafes. Each one has a fabulous and friendly feel.
25A
25A is another fantastic place to grab great coffee and lunches (can you tell we really love coffee and food here at Carnsight?). Located on Bristol’s Old Market Street, 25A is supplied by local and also fantastic Extract Coffee Roasters.
Hart’s Bakery
Hart’s Bakery offers wonderful cinnamon buns. Jess is a particular fan. They’re an artisan bakery that specialises in sourdough, handmade pastries, seasonal cakes and savouries.
Paco Tapas
Paco Tapas is the perfect place to visit for a fantastic meal. Serving delicious and varied flavours, there’s something for everyone.
Make sure you check out some of these brilliant businesses and feel free to comment and share some of yours.
