In our ‘two minutes with’ blog posts, you can get to know the members of the Carnsight Communications PR team even better. In today’s post, we’re getting to know Jessica Morgan, Carnsight Founder and business owner.
Name: Jessica Morgan
Job title: Business Owner
Joined Carnsight: Day one! January 2016.
Why PR?: I started in advertising, which was brilliant, exciting and creative. But I moved into PR after going through yet another agency merger (a hazard of being in that industry) as I wanted to add another string to my bow, and to use my writing more. It was a brilliant move and ultimately allowed me to start Carnsight.
Preferred social media channel? Twitter for quick quips and conversations, Instagram for the beautiful flatlays I’ve yet to master.
How do you have your coffee in the morning?: Always real, always strong with milk and sometimes a little soft brown sugar. Currently via Girls Who Grind Coffee.
Dream job as a child?: Actress or teacher. I like to think the PR industry offers a bit of both 😉
Sum yourself up in three words: Determined, creative, positive.
What’s your star sign/ Myers Briggs type?: Aries. Pretty true to life.
Where did you grow up? Where were you born?: Born in Truro and grew up in St Agnes, Cornwall. West is best.
Favourite book to date?: The Awakening by Kate Chopin.
Favourite movie?: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is right up there.
Favourite dog breed: Cockapoo – technically a hybrid but don’t tell mine that.
Do you have any pets?: Clifford the cockapoo – see above. And our six fish.
Favourite word?: Pithy.
Least favourite word?: Lush (sorry to all my friends who love that one!)
Ideal music playlist: Chilled out pop – currently playing on Alexa.
Dream holiday destination: The Maldives. One day.
Any role models?: Lots – Michelle Obama is a big inspiration at the moment.
Something about you we would never be able to guess: I was on a game show hosted by Darren Day. And I do a mean Alvin and the Chipmunks impression.
Name 3 things that make you happy: My beautiful family, the Cornish coast, the words “spa day”.
